Call to apply to become part of our EMEUNET sub-committees!

Dear EMEUNET members,

We are delighted to invite you to apply to join our EMEUNET sub-committees!

As EMEUNET continues to grow as a key part of EULAR, this is your opportunity to get involved and contribute directly to its core activities for the next three years.

We currently have six EMEUNET Sub-Committees:

1. Education

2. Country Liaisons

3. Social Media

4. Visibility and Global Affairs

5. Newsletters

6. Peer Mentoring

For more details on each sub-committee’s activities, check our upcoming newsletter or visit our website.

If you are unsure which sub-committee to join, do not worry! You do not need to express a preference at the time of application; you will be able to choose later.

Eligibility criteria:

To apply, you should meet the following requirements:

1. Be a registered EMEUNET member (Not a member yet? You can register here)

2. Be under 40 years old at the time of application (exceptions may apply in special circumstances such as parental or sick leave)

3. Be a resident of a EULAR member country

4. Have an interest in research and/or education in rheumatology

5. Be active in research, with at least one abstract as the first author at an international congress OR one first-authored manuscript in a peer-reviewed journal

Selection process:

Applications are evaluated based on motivation, scientific merit, prior engagement in EMEUNET activities (e.g., as a country liaison), as well as balanced gender and geographic representation. The selection process is highly competitive.

If you have applied in the past but were not selected, you are encouraged to reapply.

Your motivation essay is a crucial part of the application. We encourage you to use it to highlight your commitment to EMEUNET’s mission and share your vision for its future development. Given the increasing role of social media in EMEUNET, skills and experience in this area will be positively considered.

Application deadline:

To apply, please submit the completed application form, along with a two-page CV and a list of publications, by 15 March 2025

We look forward to receiving your applications and welcoming new members to the EMEUNET team!

Best regards,

Tue Kragstrup and Diego Benavent
