Highlights from the EMEUNET Session at the Bulgarian National Conference of Rheumatology 2025
The EMEUNET Country Liaison for Bulgaria Daliya Pencheva had the pleasure of presenting EMEUNET’s mission, activities, and opportunities during the Bulgarian National Conference of Rheumatology, held from 2 to 5 October 2025 in Plovdiv. She highlighted key initiatives such as RheumaVision, which aims to empower and connect early-career rheumatologists across Europe. The session was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Tsvetoslav Georgiev, a former EMEUNET Education Sub-Committee member, and together they promoted the benefits of joining EMEUNET. Attendees were invited to scan a QR code and become part of our vibrant network.
Throughout the conference, the iconic purple EMEUNET banner remained a visible and engaging presence, sparking curiosity and conversations among young participants.
Daliya Pencheva had the chance to chair a standout Meet-the-Expert Session with Prof. Laurent Arnaud, aimed especially at young rheumatologists. The session offered valuable practical insights into managing challenging lupus cases, addressed diagnostic and therapeutic dilemmas, and discussed current controversies and future directions in SLE care.
EMEUNET’s strong presence at the conference once again underscored its commitment to education, mentorship, and career development for the next generation of rheumatologists.
