Title: Evolution of Lung Inflammation in a Mouse Model of Chronic/Recurrent Macrophage Activation Syndrome

This study significantly advances our understanding of SJIA-LD pathogenesis and paves the way for developing targeted therapeutic interventions for this life-threatening complication by identifying persistent alterations in lung myeloid populations and proteomic changes. Complement and coagulation cascade were found to be activated in BAL.

Title: Circulating NK and CD8+ Cytotoxic T Cells in Treatment Naïve JDM Demonstrate Higher Cytotoxic and Interferon Signature as Compared to Childhood-Onset SLE

This study identifies distinct immune profiles in treatment-naïve JDM, with elevated cytotoxic and interferon activity in NK and CD8+ T cells compared to cSLE. Findings reveal JDM-specific inflammatory pathways, advancing targeted therapies and biomarker development for pediatric autoimmune diseases.

Title: Pediatric Rheumatology Graduation: A One-Way Bridge to Adult Care?

This study is essential as it explores structured strategies for transitioning pediatric rheumatology patients to adult care, addressing a critical period marked by risks of care discontinuity and increased morbidity. By implementing protocols such as transition summary letters, this study underscores advancements in continuity of care, aiming to mitigate information loss and support sustained disease management during this vulnerable transition phase.

Title: Tear Biomarkers for Monitoring Disease Activity and Progression of Noninfectious Chronic Anterior Uveitis in Children

This study highlights tear biomarkers, such as sICAM-1, S100A12, and MCP-1, as non-invasive indicators of disease activity in chronic anterior uveitis (CAU) among children. By linking these biomarkers to inflammation and ocular complications, this study opens avenues for early monitoring and targeted interventions in pediatric patients, addressing a critical gap in JIA-associated CAU management.

Title: Biomarker-guided Treatment-and-stop-strategy for Recombinant IL-1 Receptor Antagonist (Anakinra) in Patients with Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

This study demonstrates a biomarker-driven taper-and-stop protocol for Anakinra in systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis, using IL-18 levels to guide therapeutic decisions. By enabling individualized treatment, this approach enhances clinical precision, minimizes adverse effects, and sustains remission.
