Simon Stones

Simon Stones, PhD, is a Global Patient Engagement Leader, Medical Communications Specialist, and internationally recognised patient advocate from Manchester, UK. Living with rheumatology and gastroenterology conditions, and with caregiver experience in neurology and oncology, he brings personal insight to his professional and voluntary work.
Simon has over a decade of experience involving patients and carers in healthcare services and research. He currently serves as Chair of the EULAR PARE Committee and has been actively involved with EULAR (including EMEUNET) since 2014. He works in the biopharmaceutical industry, helping medical affairs teams embed meaningful patient engagement into their activities. He has published widely on patient engagement in research and self-management of long-term conditions.
